WEEK 12: The New York Jets ended the Tennessee Titans undefeated start to the season today with a crushing 34-13 victory. Tennessee, the NFL's last unbeaten team, had won 10 successive games before the loss. The Jets (8-3) claimed their fifth consecutive win. New York quarterback Brett Favre threw for two touchdowns and Leon Washington rushed for two more in the one-sided victory that enabled the Jets to keep the AFC East lead. Brett Favre broke an NFL record with the touchdowns, marking the 14th season he has completed at least 20 TD passes. Favre and former Miami quarterback Dan Marino shared the previous record of 13.

With the win, Favre broke another tie with Dan Marino for victories in the most NFL stadiums by winning in his 32nd at LP Field. Thats two records beaten in one game.

WEEK 11: Matt Stover of the Baltimore Ravens set an NFL record today, kicking his 372nd consecutive point after touchdown. The kick broke the record Stover shared with Jason Elam (1993-2002) and Jeff Wilkins (1999-2007). Stover started his streak in 1996. New York Giants beat the Ravens 30-10

WEEK 5: The Kansas City Chiefs star Tony Gonzalez broke the NFL's career mark for yards receiving by a tight end Sunday, but finished with just three catches for 17 yards in a 34-0 loss to the Carolina Panthers. "This is a game that a lot of us probably (would) just as soon forget," Tony Gonzalez said. Tony Gonzalez entered the game 3 yards shy of Shannon Sharpe's 5-year-old record of 10,060 yards. He surpassed the mark on Kansas City's second offensive series by catching a 6-yard pass from Damon Huard late in the first quarter. Tony Gonzalez also has the alltime TD record for a tight end. The 12th-year pro and nine-time Pro Bowler has at least one reception in 120 straight games and also holds record for most receptions by a tight end.

Week 3: The Patriots winning streak comes to an end. The record for the Most Consecutive Regular Season Wins in the NFL is 21. The New England Patriots fall to Miami Dolphins 38-13. Miami's runing back Ronnie Brown's four touchdowns broke the Dolphins record for most touchdowns by a runningback in a game. Patriots running back Laurence Maroney missed Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins because of a shoulder injury. And Tom Brady didnt even bother to show up due to his injury. Thats payback for beating the 1973 Dolphins perfect season.
